AOL’s CTO Alex Gounares Resigns From The Company

America Online (AOL) has recently been targeted by activist shareholder Starboard Value, which put up an alternate slate of directors last week in a brewing proxy battle – adding more to the news – AOL’s CTO Alex Gornares reportedly resigned from the company – during his tenure with AOL he was in charge of all of AOL’s technical operations – Gounares joined the company in May of 2010 – he earlier worked with Microsoft as a corporate VP of Advertising Research and Development and CTO of software giant’s online service division.
