Anonymous Strikes Again, Turned Down Greece Government And Police Websites

The hacker group Anonymous which reportedly taken down the Greek Ministry of Justice website last week and warned the authorities that it will take down over 300 media and ministry sites if it does not reverse its course of action – has knocked down again this time by taking down the following sites – a Major TV channel, Prime Minister’s website, National Police, Ministry of finance Evangelos Venizelos’ personal site.

Even in addition to this, according to TNW Facebook page, readers also reported the following sites are also down: pasok.gr, nd.gr, hellenicparliament.gr, ypai.aegean.gr, mod.gr, culture.gr, yyka.gov.gr, ydt.gr, evenizelos.gr, minfin.gr, primeminister.gov.gr and astinomia.gr.

The group over the weekend taken down the US government site CIA.gov and before that attacking the email accounts of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad’s aides – hacking some 78 username and password combinations for the accounts and 56 of those accounts used the password “12345”, while five others added just a “6” to that string.
