‘Angry Birds Space’ Coming To Windows Phone Soon

With the Nokia’s announcement of bringing up exclusive apps for its Lumia 900, Rovio, the creator of Angry Birds Space will join the original Angry Birds game in coming to Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone consumers, bringing the Windows Phone version. Rovio is building a dedicated design and development team to create games for Nokia Lumia smartphones and the wider Windows Phone ecosystem, with the goal of developing and publishing all future Rovio titles as soon as possible.

“Nokia is one of our longest-standing partners, and Windows Phone and Lumia are of strategic importance to Rovio. We are very committed to bring our games to Lumia devices, and are looking forward to delighting our fans on the Windows Phone platform,” said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio.

Angry Birds maker Rovio recently reported its financial results for the year 2011. Total revenue amounted to €75.4 million ($106.3 million) driven by strong growth in game download activity and consumer product sales. Earnings before tax were €48.0 million ($67.6 million) or 64% of total revenue in 2011. Well, with the partnership with Nokia, Rovio just like hits gold mine.
