Forbes Russian edition (via East-West Digital News, The Next Web) today reported that Amazon has opened a representative office in Moscow, with former Kindle content Russian director, Arkady Vitrouk, would going to be head Amazon’s Russian unit. While the official confirmation of Vitruk’s appointment still not clear, but with comments on the PR-director of Amazon Beatrice Dekodun, Vitruk already being interviewed for the position.
With the move, a whole new picture comes in front suggesting that what in real Amazon having in its mind. Adding further, according to East-West Digital News research, Russian online retail expected to either reach or exceed the $50 billion mark by the end of decade, which will be an up from $13 billion in 2012. Whether the opening of a representative office in the country a right decision or not, we will definitely able to know soon.
