Collecting things is a wonderful way to pass the time. It’s a great hobby to have, and there are many things you can collect. Below, I’ve listed three of the best ideas I have:
Stamps

I know some of you may groan as you think stamp collecting is boring. But, it’s one of the most exciting hobbies out there. Why? Because there are so many different stamps to collect. You have ones that have historical importance dating back decades ago. They can signify key moments in time, and have fascinating designs. If that’s not fun enough, then stamp collecting can take you all over the world. Every time you travel to a new country, you can collect a stamp from there. It’s something that most people enjoy; they just have a hard time getting started. My advice is to get a stamp from the next place you visit. This will be the start of a marvelous collection!

Currency collecting is a very popular hobby, and with good reason. There’s almost no limit to what you can collect here. Foreign stuff, old stuff, the list goes on and on. In fact, the hardest part about collecting money is finding what currency to collect. I like to go for things that are different to what I’m used to seeing. It’s no fun collecting notes that look the same as the ones in your wallet. Go for something crazy and random like Zimbabwe dollars. You can actually get Zimbabwe 100 trillion dollar bank notes for your collection. How crazy is that?! It’s stuff like this that gets me excited about collecting money. Finding banknotes with ridiculously high values that I’ve never seen before. Plus, it’s a great excuse to do some traveling. You can go to different countries and find rare notes there to add to your collection.
Pokemon (I’m Serious!)

Okay, hear me out on this one! It may seem a little bit crazy, but it’s a genuine hobby for people nowadays. With Pokemon Go, you can go out and try to collect all the Pokemon available to you. It’s just like collecting any other thing; the only difference is that it’s digital instead of physical. Yes, it’s a mobile game, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get the same thrill from it. Some Pokemon can only be caught in certain parts of the world. So, you have to travel around if you want to fill up your collection. It’s a lot harder to collect them than you think, and it’s a great hobby to have. You’re encouraged to get out of the house and go around collecting these little Pokemon. There are stories of people discovering amazing places that they didn’t know existed right under their noses. Yes, I know it’s a little bit ‘out there’ and different. But, collecting Pokemon is definitely an amazing thing you can do in your spare time!
The funny thing about all these hobbies is that they get you traveling! If you want to complete all your collections, then you have to go to new and different countries.
