Akamai today published its quarterly “State of the Internet” report for the fourth quarter 2012 with bringing on the interesting internet speed numbers. Starting with top position holder, South Korean saw a slight decrease in speed to an average of 14Mbps, a change of 4.8% less from the past quarter while 13% decrease from the same quarter a year ago.
While for the second and third position Japan and Hong Kong hold them tight with 10.8Mbps and 9.3Mbps average speed. United States stands at eighth position with an average speed of 7.4 Mbps, an increase of 2.3% from previous quarter, while an increase of 28% from the same quarter a year ago.
