Airtel Launches 4G LTE Service In Bengaluru, India, Second In The Country After Kolkota

Airtel today announced that it has launched its 4G LTE services in Bengaluru, India. The service is the second one in the country as prior to this; the company has launched the service in Kolkota last month. The carrier announced a new plan in the city offering consumers 30GB of data for INR 2,999 per month. Even further, consumers of both INR 1,999 plan i.e. 18GB and INR 2,999 will get a cash back offer when they purchase either: the indoor CPE with WI-Fi module (at a price of INR 7,750) or the multi-mode LTE modem (INR 7,999).

Making the offer further mouth-watering, the carrier is also offering 10 free movies for the first month and in order to have unlimited movies watch offer, consumers need to pay INR 149 per month. The carrier currently has a catalog of 35 movies and is promising to add more. Users can now also top-up their accounts when they exhaust their monthly data quota.

The carrier has launched four tariff plans for its useINR The first plan ‘Break free’ has a data transfer limit of 6GB and is priced at INR 999. The second ‘Break free Max’ pack is available for a monthly rental of INR 1,399 with a data transfer limit of 9 GB; and the third ‘Break free Ultra’ has data transfer limit of 18GB and is priced at INR 1,999 monthly. ‘Break Free Ultimate’ the fourth tariff plan is priced at INR 2,999 with a limit of 30 GB.

After making the 4G LTE service available in both Kolkata and Bengaluru, the carrier is currently working towards making the service available in more licence circles. There is no news on which circle the carrier target next but with the addition of Bengaluru in a month’s time after Kolkata, there are strong indications that more area will soon to be added.
