Zynga’s Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Karp Leaves Company

Zynga Zynga Coo John Schappert Resigns From The Company, Effective Immediately

The departure of top-level employees from company’s board still on the way, as the latest to add is Zynga’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Karp, is the latest executive to leave the social gaming company effective September 22nd. Before joining Zynga, Karp worked with Electronic Arts as the Chief Revenue Officer before becoming the Executive Vice President of EA’s Play Label. As per filing with SEC, Karp will continue to be employed by Zynga in a non-officer capacity.

Zynga said in an issued statement:

Jeff Karp is leaving Zynga, and the groups in his organization have been realigned under appropriate existing divisions. Our marketing and revenue teams have always been industry leaders, and as we continue our transition toward mobile and multiplatform game creation and distribution, their continued execution will be key to our future success. We are grateful to Jeff for his contributions over the last year and wish him well in his future endeavors.
