Zynga Reportedly Shut Down Its $200 Million Worth Acquisition OMGPOP

With yesterday only we reported that Zynga confirmed that it is firing 18% of its workforce, the firing of employees seems begins and the first victim is none other than Zynga’s last year $200 million worth OMGPOP.

According to a report on TechCrunch – via tweets from company’s employees and company’s owned Twitter account shared about the news. Further also, the social gaming company also going to close OMGPOP’s New York City office too in the same limelight.

 

Zynga last year only acquired OMGPOP for total of $210 million – $180 million plus another $30 million or so in employee-retention payments. The biggest question as of now stands that since Zynga shut down OMGPOP, what it will do with its online gaming portal and will it continue to use the brand name.
