Zynga Reportedly Acquires Draw Something Developer OMGPOP For $210 Million (Updated)

With the earlier news rounding up that Zynga is in initial talk with Draw Something developer OMGPOP and later on which TechCrunch reported that it has been in serious talk with Mark Pincus and company for the past few days as of now. The social gaming company during its conference call has confirmed the acquisition which was rounded up for $210 million: $180 million, plus another $30 million or so in employee-retention payments (Our assumption was that the deal will be in between $150 to $200 million).

Zynga is a Facebook games house, and has been slowly acquiring smaller companies – With the OMGPOP Draw Something, Facebook most popular game; it will definitely like acquiring the gold stone by the social game maker. Cited the people familiar with the company says the game has been netting around $250,000 a day – impressive numbers.

Update: Zynga paid $180 million cash for the Draw Something game maker, the company told the SEC.
