Zynga Q2 2013 Earnings: Revenue $231 Million, Net Loss $16 Million

Zynga today announced its earnings for the second quarter 2013 ended June 30, 2013. The company reported the revenue of $231 million, down 31% year-over-year while bookings were $188 million, down 38% year-over-year. The second quarter net loss was of $16 million while GAAP earnings per share were ($0.02) and non-GAAP earnings per share were ($0.01).

The company further reported the daily active users (DAUs) decreased to 39 million in the second quarter of 2013, down 45% year-over-year. The monthly active users (MAUs) decreased to 187 million in the second quarter of 2013, down 39% year-over-year.  Monthly unique users (MUUs) decreased to 123 million in the second quarter of 2013, down 36% year-over-year. Monthly Unique Payers (MUPs) decreased to 1.9 million in the second quarter of 2013, down 53% year-over-year.
