Yahoo Giving Its Employees New Smartphone, Choices Are: iPhone 5 Or Lumia 920

It’s last week only that Microsoft’s chief Steve Ballmer announced that the company giving all of its full-time employees free Surface RT, Windows Phone 8 and new Windows 8 PCs, now following the suite in somehow same contextual, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer had made plans offering employees a free smartphone, which was leaked through internal memo detailing the company’s launch of “Smart Phones, Smart Fun!” initiative, giving employees a choice of devices, which includes either of iPhone 5 or Lumia 920, reports Business Insider.

In her email, Mayer explains the reasoning: Ideally, we’d like our employees to have devices similar to our users, so we can think and work as the majority of our users do. She also says that Yahoo will move off their BlackBerry devices an “on to smartphones in 22 countries.” Employees can order the phone; their new devices and the company will cover the cost of their monthly plan for the data and the phone.
