AllThingsD reports that the patent legal spat between Yahoo and Facebook could be settled within the coming weeks as the executives at both companies working on a deal that would results in no courtroom battle over patents related to advertising, personalized web pages, social networking and messaging to Yahoo. The story starts back in March when Yahoo sued social giant over the technology patent issue as it did not license those 10 and 20 patents. The publication claims this as “potential settlement” and would ask for a cross-licensing deal instead of going for a long hectic legal battle. The Facebook has dispatched COO Sheryl Sandberg to help find a common ground while Yahoo’s representation is said to include interim CEO Ross Levinsohn.
