The week really meant for Yahoo as the company in the past two days has acquired a total of three companies back-to-back, including the latest in line-up, the location-based mobile gaming company Loki Studio. The announcement was made via Loki Studio Company’s website although terms of the deals were not disclosed.

“Today we welcomed Loki Studios to the Yahoo! mobile team,” a Yahoo spokesperson told TNW in a statement. “Their experience in community and location-based mobile services is impressive and we’re excited to have them on the team.”

Yahoo yesterday also acquired two of companies, GoPollGo polling services while the second was of Milewise. Both the companies announced the news of acquisition via their website and in same way the financial terms of either of deal were not disclosed.

Here is what Loki Studio says about the acquisition:

Dear friends of Loki,

It is my pleasure to announce that the Loki Studios team will be joining Yahoo!.

Loki Studios was founded with the vision of innovating upon and furthering the use of digital devices in our everyday lives. In the competitive and rapidly evolving space of mobile games, we sought to stand out from the pack and stand up for gamers—we’d make the games we want to play. We are proud to have accomplished precisely that through our flagship location-aware game, Geomon.

It has been a difficult but immensely rewarding journey. We collaborated closely with an incredibly supportive community to continuously iterate and improve upon Geomon. We were fortunate to have been advised by some of the best mentors in the industry and befriended many of our peers along the way. We surmounted immense obstacles, formed tightknit bonds, and worked through a few too many sunrises.

Now, our journey continues. We are thrilled to be joining the exceptional folks at Yahoo!. We believe fully in their commitment to creating outstanding mobile products. We are excited to learn from, work with, and contribute to one of the most well-known pioneers of the tech industry.

Before I conclude, I’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has helped us in this endeavor. None of this could have happened without our wonderful users, mentors, friends, and family. To everyone who believed in us, you have our deepest thanks.

Best wishes to all,

The Loki Family
