We heard recently that sellers in China already begin taking pre-orders for Apple’s soon-to-come iPhone – the iPhone 5, but there are more interesting coming on from the Wall Street Journal which suggests that the Cupertino-based giant going to utilise in-cell display technologies in its iPhone next instalment. The company has instructed LG, Sharp and Japan Display to start with mass production of the panels, with the device planned to be shipped in autumn. The publication citing “the person familiar with the situation” said that LCD makers finding the manufacturing work challenging and even time-consuming as they scramble to achieve high yield rates. Now, it is only the time will say what will be coming in the way and whether the iPhone ball crosses the boundary right on time as it is expected.
