Here goes another big bang year, and Google standing on same position as it was year ago in the process of closing its not so popular services it offer on board. The services in the hit list include Calendar features, Google Sync, Google Calendar Sync, Issue Tracker Data API and Punchd. Here is how the search giant plans the shutting down of these services:

  • Google Calendar: Many of its “less popular” features are on the swing to say good bye on January 4, 2013.
  • Google Sync: Starting from January 30, 2013 users are not allowed to sync new device.
  • Google Calendar Sync: Discontinued on December 14, 2012.
  • Google Sync for Nokia S60: Discontinued on January 30, 2013.
  • SyncML: Shutting down on January 30, 2013.
  • Issue Tracker Data API: Shutting down on June 14, 2013.
  • Punchd: Android and iOS apps discontinued while merchants will no longer honor loyalty cards starting from June 7, 2013.
