Windows Blue Got Its Confirmed Name, Windows 8.1

Microsoft today finally confirmed Windows Blue name as Windows 8.1, as well as the company revealed that the new version will come as a free Windows 8 update and will be available via the Windows Store. Microsoft’s Tami Reller today at the JP Morgan Technology, Media and Telecom Conference in Boston shared the news.

The company also shared that there are now over 70,000 apps in the Windows Store, giving a huge reason to joy as on comparing the number with its rivals. Further, Reller added that Windows 8.1 details will be shared in the coming weeks, while the public preview of Windows 8.1 available starting on June 26. The preview will be available for Windows 8 and Windows RT.
