Wikimedia Commons today has officially unveiled its mobile apps for iOS and Android, allowing users to take photos with their phone or upload items from their phone library. The organization has created an online repository of license-free images and other media files.
“In the future, we hope to add more features and make it easier to browse and discover all the great content Commons has to offer,” says Maryana Pinchuk, Associate Product Manager, Wikimedia Foundation.
Wikimedia Commons as of now holds about 16 million files, and with these apps it’s a whole new start as now giving a huge easiness to both iOS and Android users. You can download the apps via Apple App Store and Google Play.
