Hacker School, an initiative started by David Albert, Nicholas Bergson-Shilcock and Sonali Sridhar. The school is a three-month immersive school for becoming a better programmer.

The school sets no formal instructors; it only works on one single motive to allow the entire participant to become a better hacker, a programmer. The school are having no grades, teachers or any formal curricula. Instead, it writes free and open source software, because it would be antithetical to Hacker School to write code that couldn’t be read, used and improved by others.

The main focus of the entire group is to utilize the energy on a handful of projects and contribute as much as possible in their four days a week schedule. The school further invite other hackers i.e. from alumni or experienced programmers to code with the current batch participants on Saturdays.

Based in New York, U.S., Hacker School is full time, eight hours a day, four days a week for three months school plus it is free for students. There third batch starts from February 13, 2012. Still having doubts in mind, click here to know more.
