Twitter’s Costolo Says The Company Is Working On New Live Events Platforms, ‘DVR Mode’ And More

The micro-blogging giant is said to be experimenting with new live events platform, “DVR Mode” for using Twitter with TV, hinted by Twitter’s CEO Dick Costolo during a moderated panel this morning at the Center for Technology Innovation at Brookings. The plan also includes an address to cyberbullying and better ways by which to filter the “signal from the noise” during live events.

Twitter has to do a better job on the “Connect” stream to clean up the abusive, repeat and trolling while for on the cyberbullying subject, Costolo added that with technological solutions, there is a need to filter out “egregious, obvious harassment.” He talked further about challenges faced during live events, saying these days problem is of how data will flows in real-time.
