Good news for micro-blogging giant lover, Twitter: the company today shared that the service now having 200 million monthly unique users, up from 140 million users which the company shared nine months back. The 140 million users that company was receiving at that time were sending over 340 million tweets per day (or in better calculations 1 billion every 3 days).
Comparing it with social giant Facebook, the company is still far away from reaching the one billion monthly active users numbers i.e. it will take Twitter over 15 years to reach or cross Facebook’s 1 billion user mark if it goes with current pace. Twitter in recent time although has increased its reach to celebrities, governments, brands and an increasing number of Internet sign ups.
