Toshiba Unveils LX830, Portégé Z930 And Satellite U840W Ultrabook

During the Computex 2012 Taipei event, Toshiba comes up with a number of laptops: LX830, an all-in-one with 10-point touch input, Portégé Z930, a 13.3-inch super light ultrabook and 21:9 ultrabook with 14-inch Satellite U840W.

Starting with LX830, the company is adding a new all-in-one PC to its home entertainment range. The laptop features 23-inch HD display (1920 x 1080), powered by the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors, will support up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, and having up to 2TB of HDD storage and also includes optional 10-point touch input. The machine availability in the UK will start from Q3 this year and comes at a price of £599 (roughly $920).

Calling as the “world’s lightest” ultrabook, Toshiba’s Portégé Z930 features 13.3-inch, weighing in at just over 2.4 pounds and it’s a slim 8.3mm at its thinnest point. In terms of specs, the ultrabook features Intel’s HD 4000 graphics, up to 12GB of DDR3 RAM, an up to 512GB SSD, magnesium alloy casing, a backlit keyboard, a 13.3-inch non-glare LCN (at 1366 x 768 resolution), one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, plus HDMI, VGA and SD card reader slots, and having up to eight hours of battery life. Availability is sometimes in Q3 this year and will comes at a price of £899 (just under $1,400) in the UK.

The Satellite U840W ultrabook or in Toshiba words 21:9 ultrabook features 1792 x 768 display, 14 inches when measured diagonally, weighs under four pounds and 0.81 inches thick, powered by an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, can support up to 10GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and a 32GB SSD for caching frequently accessed files, USB 3.0 ports, WiDi support, and a backlit keyboard. The Satellite U840W will be released sometime in Q3 of this year for £899 (just under $1,400).
