Toshiba Plans To Buy IBM’s Point-of-Sale Terminal Business

Reuters reports that Toshiba is willing to buy IBM point-of-sale terminal business, which includes cash registers. With this, Toshiba aimed at expanding the global reach of Toshiba’s half-owned Toshiba Tec Corp, making it as the world’s largest vendor of POS systems and requirements. The deal if purchased would be of around $870 million.
