Associated Press is reporting that Syria, a Middle Easter country internet goes dark in the midst of violent upheaval although there are no words on what brings such condition. The outage began today at 10:26 AM UTC according to the worldwide internet monitoring service Renesys as the report states that 92 percent of all “routed networks” are offline. The country’s internet service is owned by the state telecom SyriaTel but it’s not certain still the reason behind the dark, although activists believes authorities are behind the cut down. There are also words from an activist named Abu Qais al-Shami tells the Associated Press that both land and mobile service was also not working in the Damascus, the country’s capital.
