Soon to be launched, the most-awaited PS Vita version which is about to launch on February 22 in U.S. has already come online with a number of downloadable titles – posting a preliminary list of 275 downloadable games, includes Final Fantasy IV, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Lumines and others.

Joystiq also reports that several additional titles work with the device as well (Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Pixeljunk Monsters Deluxe are cited), with Sony noting that its master list will be updated in the coming weeks. Also, if you’ve compatible titles on your PlayStation3, you can copy them over via USB – but there are also limitations to how many devices generally activated them. The things will be clearer and would be seen whether the expanded catalog will help the Vita avoid the sales issues it’s had overseas.

In addition to this, as we reported earlier, GameStop is giving consumers a first glimpse at the highly anticipated new handheld system of PS Vita. More than 3,300 U.S. GameStop stores now have playable demo units that provide a first-hand look at PS Vita’s exciting new technology. The company also created an extremely limited edition of PlayStation Vita 3G/WiFi bundle and if you are the lucky among those who had pre-ordered it and brave enough to stand in cold on February 22 – you will be the one to get it as a reward.
