A unique feature that Xperia active consists of its barometric measuring sensor app. Developers can use this sensor in apps, by accessing it through the Andriod sensor API. They provided tops and code examples to allow your app to work with the pressure sensor.

The idea is really interesting as it allow imagining a weather data collection service, where users send in barometric data to a central server within the certain time intervals. Even also the barometer can be used to calculate altitude also – Isn’t it’s a really cool app. The app can be downloaded from the Sony Ericsson developer’s website.
