Sharp today reported its results for the six months period ended September 30, 2012. As reported by Reuters earlier, the company posted the net sales of ¥ 1,104.1 billion with operating income, which was in loss of ¥ 168.8 billion. Further, the company reported the net income of ¥ 387.5 billion while the net loss per share was ¥ 352.25. The company blamed recorded additional expenses (asset compression) of ¥ 175.4 billion in total of noncurrent assets and inventory as factor of change in profit from previous forecast. The company even further has slashed its net loss forecast for the full year to next March 31 to total of ¥ 450 billion as compared to previous forecast of ¥ 250 billion.
