In an interesting move, Samsung workers at is Suwon office in South Korean soon to be seen using their mobile phones to check into work instead of using their ID cards. The Suwon offices account for around 40 percent of the company’s staff, making this a wide rollout, and could happen in the next few months. The move is an interesting one as the employees now need not to roam around with their ID card everywhere. Samsung says tying people’s identity in with their handset should prevent lost or stolen IDs being misused although it will be cost-saving. The company says the move will roll out to other locations this year as well.
