“Honestly, we’re not doing very well in the tablet market,” Samsung’s Hankil Yoon said during a media round table at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Monday. The remarks from Yoon, a product strategy executive at Samsung, were first reported by CNET’s Roger Cheng. It looks like Samsung’s grip on reality is firmer than its hold on the tablet market.
Samsung recently put the stylus-equipped 5-inch Galaxy Note on sale, and announced plans to sell a 10.1-inch version of the Note earlier this week. Samsung already sells 7-inch and 10-inch versions of another model, the Galaxy Tab. Over on the top of all of this, Samsung’s rival – Apple continues to dominate the tablet market it created with the launch of the iPad in 2010, Cheng reports that Samsung plans to keep the tablets coming.
