Banned!!! These are the words of South Korea’s largest conglomerate, Samsung. The company has begun rolling out an internal campaign banning binge drinking as well as excessive alcohol consumption, reports Korea Herald. The company even cleared all ashtrays both inside and outside its buildings in order to promote “No Smoking” atmosphere. From now on, consuming alcohol in “one shot” or as “punishment” will also not be allowed.

The country has been known for excessive drinking habits, with people fond of beer mixed with soju, even having the highest alcohol consumption and smoking rates of OECD members and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Samsung with such initiatives aims to boost education aiming to promote and improve a sound corporate culture.
