Samsung, Intel Giving Away $4 Million In Prizes For Tizen Apps

Samsung and Intel together are dangling away $4 million in prizes to total of more than 50 winning developer who will win the Tizen App Challenge. The duos are hosting an app development challenge in which the winning apps can garner as much as $200,000. The initiative is to mainly engage developers in China as well as Samsung’s home land South Korea. Getting developers via competition will help Tizen to develop a whole new ecosystem comprises of compelling apps and content.

The winning prizes for all the three gaming categories are $200,000 for prize winner and $100,000 and $40,000 for the two runner-ups while the prizes for regular apps are $120,000, $60,000 and $30,000. Along with this, Tizen is also encouraging HTML5 developers and the winning top ten Web apps developers will get $50,000 each. The last date to enter your app in the competition is until November 1, 2013 while winners will be announced in December.
