The South Korean electronics giant, Samsung reportedly not holding up any press event during the ongoing Mobile World Congress but in its urge to make something big this year, the company is aiming to double its handset sales unit – Samsung is targeting to sell 380 million handsets and also to double the sales of its smartphones this year, reports WSJ.
The company last month reported record earnings for the fourth quarter last year results with a 17% rise in profits in the final three months of 2011. Samsung recorded an operating profit of 5.3 trillion won, or approximately $4.72 billion USD, on sales of 47 trillion won, or approximately $42 billion USD.
