Although RIM is investing nothing less but a good $100 million amount to build developer community, but over at a Baird Survey, Alec Saunders, RIM’s VP of Developer Relations says that developers still “amazed” by BlackBerry 10 platform. Saunders wrote in his blog post (via Information Week), “I was pretty shocked by the findings,” adding, “I was shocked because the numbers in the report do not gel with what we’re seeing in the real world.” BlackBerry App World Vendor Base has seen a rise of 157 percent in the past year while the PlayBook app catalog has “grown by more than 15,000 apps since January 1st of the year.” We too like to believe in what Saunders said, but we can’t even neglect that the company hit recent low with its poor quarterly results and plans of delaying BlackBerry 10 platform.
