Report: Samsung Reportedly Shutting Down Its Desktop Business

According to Korea Times report citing company official, Samsung is pulling off its hand from its unprofitable desktop PC business and will contribute more towards tablet computers and all-in-one laptops. The official says that the demand for desktop PCs is reportedly going down and it’s better that the [company] will allocate its resource towards tablet computers and all-in-one laptops business.

We earlier reported today – via Gartner’s latest findings – that the PC (desk-based and notebooks) are in the edge of seeing more downfall. Staggering to such findings, Samsung plans to shut down its desktop business comes in right time. As per another official “Tablets, all-in-one and hybrid PCs are Samsung’s current focus. Samsung is speeding up its restructuring of its PC business via product realignment toward profitable variants.”
