Report: Russian Mobile Gaming Industry To Reach $707 Million In Four Years Time

According to a report on East-West Digital News (via The Next Web), the Russian mobile game market in Russia as per Russian-based consultancy firm J’son & Partners will grow from the last year reported $392 million to an estimated $707 million in 2016. The stats represent almost 4 percent of the global mobile game market, which is estimated at $9.9 billion for over a billion gamers worldwide in 2012. Even further the mobile game players’ numbers in the country is also expected to increase from 38.6 million at the later-2012 to 65.1 million in 2016.

This is no surprised to see and consider as the Russian mobile gaming industry going through vivid changes, including the development of games which was basically done in Java for standard mobile phones back in 2012, with current now the total Java-based games representing less than 50% of today’s market and will probably disappear completely in the coming years.
