The phone blog Phandroid’s Android Forum announced early this week that a hacker being able to accessed the message board’s user table along with the number of fields, including usernames, email addresses and hashed passwords. The breach had affected a total of one million-plus users. A forum administrator announced the situation in a forum post that the server hosting and androidforums.com was compromised and the website’s database was accessed. Although the breach is harmless of nature, but there are important and potential pitfalls. The forum is asking its each user’s to change their passwords immediately in order to provide them with better security initiative.
