Although Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop reaffirmed the company’s commitment towards Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system and along the fact that both Elop and CFO Timo Ihamuotila believes that Nokia bring the lowest-possible price point with a full-touch experience and even having a chance to win the market, means the company has reportedly decided to focus more on S40-based Asha phones that is powered by the rumoured Linux-bases “Meltemi” operating system. AllThingsD citing “sources” reports that the project has been “shelved” out and Elop himself was made to address the rumoured OS during the conference call yesterday.
