We reported earlier that Google has filed an official complaint with the EU accusing Nokia and Microsoft over alleged patent collusion with MOSAID, the Canadian IP licensing firm that Google’s called as a “patent troll”.
Over this Nokia responded back by saying that Google’s claim was wrong and countered. “Though we have not yet seen the complaint, Google’s suggestion that Nokia and Microsoft are colluding on intellectual property rights is wrong. Both companies have their own IPR portfolios and strategies and operate independently,” Nokia spokesman Mark Durrant said in an email on Friday.
