Nokia Closes Brisbane Qt Office, Plans To Sell The Framework

Nokia just days back confirmed the closing of its Salo plant in Finland, ZDNet reports that the company is soon to be shutting down its Brisbane Qt office, closing the working on its open-source graphical interface framework, Qt. The publication says that rumors surrounded that the mobile company plans to sell the framework. Nokia senior software engineer Lorn Potter told ZDNet Australia that along with him, 50 other employees have received termination notices indicating that the company closing the office. Nokia going through the extreme rough time, with huge losses reported this quarter following with rumors surrounded one after another acquisition of the company.
