On-Demand Internet streaming media service Netflix officially announces its service in UK and Ireland today.
Netflix, available in both the countries provided access to its member first on free one-month trial. After the trial, the service costs GBP 5.99 or Euro 6.99 (USD 8.87). Catalogue is full of complete TV programmes such as The Only Way is Essex, Prison Break, and Damages and great films such as 3:10 to Yuma, Blitz and The English Patient, with new content added continuously.
Users will also be able to stream the content to a PC, smart TV, tablet, smartphone and ever to their Blue-ray players too and get personalized and social media based viewing suggestions on what to watch or what not to. Its UK competitor, Amazon’s LOVEFiLM, has also geared up on the content side with recent signing of deal with BBC and iTV.
