Microsoft’s Office iPad Customized Version Expected In Coming Weeks

Back in November last year, The Daily initially uncovered the existence of an iPad version of the Microsoft Office Suite after spending some hands-on time with the new application – now again the News Corp. confirming that the iPad customized version of Microsoft’s Office software suite could soon be seen heading to Apple’s App Store approval team.

A brief hands-on reveals that the app’s user interface is similar to the current OneNote app, but somehow it has also pointing towards the Metro style, the new design language can be seen both in Windows Phone as well as yet to be released Windows 8 desktop operating system.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can be created and then edited either on the device or online, but it is not yet known whether any of Microsoft’s other Office apps will be included at launch – even the exact launch date too is still unknown, but the design team has in the process of wrapping up the project, meaning it could be released anytime in the coming weeks.
