Today, we are on the day when Microsoft will announce something mysterious – earlier we had heard rumors that it would be a tablet of Microsoft-owned branded with more glitter added by Nokia raising confusion that in the event, Nokia will unveiled its 41-megapixel 808 Pureview but now news rounding up from two publications: TechCrunch and The Verge that the tech giant announcement would be Microsoft and Barnes & Noble tablet which comes with Xbox Live Streaming. Surprised, I am too.

There are two interesting things to notice at first, like the other earlier events of Microsoft, this event invitation comes in a plain English text:

This will be a major Microsoft announcement – you will not want to miss it.

Second, the location for the event is still not known, we know it is happening in Los Angeles, but in Los Angeles where – no one having any idea.

Microsoft and Barnes & Noble back in late April had announced the formation of a strategic partnership in a new Barnes & Noble subsidiary. Microsoft will make a $300 million investment in Newco at a post-money valuation of $1.7 billion in exchange for an approximately 17.6% equity stake. Barnes & Noble will own approximately 82.4% of the new subsidiary, which will have an ongoing relationship with the company’s retail stores. Thinking of this will result in increasing the clear cut idea that yes the tablet would be coming from both of them together.

We are keeping an eye on it for each minute updates and as soon as something new strike to us that will be an add-on of the story, we will share with you.
