Thanks to both Nokia and HTC Windows-based handsets, if we go by Microsoft’s chief Steve Ballmer statement he had given during the shareholders’ meeting as the handsets made by these companies are getting rave reviews and selling out in many countries. According to Ballmer, the software giant is selling quadrupled times as many Windows phones it does a year back, reports Bloomberg.
Windows 8 is the new face of Microsoft bringing a whole lot of multiple changes over to its flagship product in nearly two decades. Ballmer also mentioned that Microsoft saw a “fantastic demand” for both tablets and touch-screen PCs featuring Windows 8 as now there are total of around 1,500 different machines running software, up from 1,000 since from the time the new operating system make its debut.
