Earlier this month, Microsoft announced 26th October as the release date of its long-awaited Windows 8 operating system, the company today with its SEC filing give a bit of surprise for all those who are awaiting it so long for the operating system that Surface tablet will go on sale the same day. In its annual report filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, Microsoft states: “The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012. At that time, we will begin selling the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices.” The initial rumours of $599 for the Windows RT model, and $999 for the Windows 8 Pro version, now have to see whether it will be true or not, stay tuned with us and will inform as soon as we get updates.
