Microsoft ‘Silently’ Released OEM, Now Officially Supports Skype Preinstallation On OEM PCs

Big news coming from Microsoft but in silent mode: The software giant has silently released an OEM Pre-installation Kit (OPK) which allows system builders to easily install Skype on new PCs. The OPK includes an installer application and instructions for OEMs through which it will install version 5.8 of the Windows Skype client on a large number of PCs. We are expecting that Microsoft will bring more with Skype’s future integration as it promised initially.
