Microsoft Officially Unveils Surface Pro 2

Microsoft today at its press event announced Surface Pro 2. The tablet comes with the ClearType HD display you are used to while the company says that it has added 46 percent more color accuracy to the screen. Overall, the tablet has been aimed at professionals’ primarily.

The company further added that it has added Dolby to the Surface 2 line up with making it faster than 95 percent of laptops as of today. The graphic performance also got a hit with an increase by 50 percent while the performance on the tab has been up by 20 percent.

Surface Pro 2 also gets better on fonts number while it does not includes Windows logo anymore as it says “Surface.” The speed has also been increased by 20 percent as the company added Haswell to the product. Surface Pro improves battery by 75 percent.  The Pro 2 cover: Surface Power Cover adds 30wh battery to the product.

Surface Pro 2 will cost $899 and will comes in a variety of configurations. 64GB storage and 4GB RAM, 128GB storage and 4GB RAM, and also 256GB of storage with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage with 8GB of RAM.

Microsoft also introduced the Surface Docking Station with bringing 3x USB 3.0, 1x USB 1.0, Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, Audio in, Audio Out, and Power. The Docking Station will let you power two monitors straight away.
