Remember the last year $1.2 billion Microsoft’s acquisition Yammer. The company announced today that now the users can make Yammer as their default social network in Office 365 i.e. they are free to make Yammer as their primary enterprise social experience.
The move is a first step in integrating the service, the software giant says in its blog post while it also share that by next month it will track the Yammer app for SharePoint as well as understanding guidance on how to integrate the acquired service with SharePoint 2013 on-premises.
Earlier, SharePoint Newsfeed is the only option available in Office 365, but now companies have a choice and can switch to Enterprise Social Collaboration setting to Yammer and make Yammer as their primary experience. Along with this, Yammer will replace Newsfeed in the navigation.
