In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, Japan’s NTT Docomo Chief Executive Officer Kaoru Kato said that “We will consider acquisitions if necessary.” He further added that the carrier will also consider on boosting the wireless network use which it controls overseas to deliver animated films, games and music to smartphone and tablet computers, means the company is focusing on developing its content play in order to sting back and have a battle with rivals like Apple’s iPhone, which works with iTunes. “We first need to succeed with this distribution business at home, before taking it abroad,” Kato said. It would be interesting to see when companies come in a battle field in one to another swinging way.
