Intel Reportedly Plans To Launch A Web-based TV Service By The End Of Year

It seems that world’s largest chipmaker company Intel is looking out to spread its wing in order to be one of the content distribution player, the company is planning to launch an Intel-branded, web-based TV service, complete with an Intel-built set-top box, according to WSJ.

The Wall Street Journal’s source indicated that no content deals had been struck yet. Intel has apparently trying to make it with its plan of offering similar services such as like of existing cable and satellite TV providers, except the content would be delivered over the web medium.
