Imo.im, which is known to be with the name as the “multi-platform free instant messaging” service for both web and mobile devices is all set to launch its own real-time social network, starting from today. The network can be accessible currently only through its website, but the company is working towards making the feature integrate into its mobile applications, i.e. apps for iPhone/iPad, Nokia, Android, and BlackBerry.

The site aims to connect more and more users to different people, than, wherever they are based on. At the time you made first sign-up, imo will take you towards creating your public profile, including all the basic things – username, location, profile picture and your interests. You can also linkup your social networking accounts too with the website. Once you are in the site, you’re able to search the directory and gear yourself up to meet new people from across the world, and even can locate your own friends by sending invite from Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

We will keep an eye over the imo’s “real-time” integration of its network into its mobile app and will notify you all.
